Prostate gland in men produce a protein called Prostate-Specific Antigens. The level of the PSA in the blood is measured by the prostate blood test. If the level of PSA is elevated than the normal level, which is set as 4.0 nanogram per milliliter (ng/ml), this can indicate that the patient has either a prostate cancer or prostate enlargement called Prostatitis.
